[Name of participant] from [Name of town] is [Running] [Walking] [Riding] Israeli Separation Wall, with thousands of participants worldwide, in solidarity with Palestinians.

Local resident [Name] is taking part in Run The Wall on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd of November 2024 as an act of solidarity, as a call for an end to Palestinian dispossession, to demand an end to Israel’s war on Gaza and to urge the new UK Government to recognise the Palestinian state.

Human rights organisation Amos Trust started Run The Wall in 2021 with their Palestinian friends at Right To Movement when Covid-19 caused the Palestine Marathon in Bethlehem to be cancelled. Run The Wall has now become an annual event worldwide.

Each spring, Amos Trust invites people from around the world to run for Palestine on the same weekend as 10,000 people participate in the Palestine Marathon.

However, since the start of the war, our Palestinian friends and partners have expressed how important acts of solidarity, such as Run The Wall, are for them. So Amos organised a Run the Wall for Gaza last November and has decided to run in solidarity again this November.

2nd November marks the 107th anniversary of the Balfour Declaration. This was when the UK government decided to support the formation of a Jewish state in historic Palestine, regardless of the wishes of the Palestinians who lived there. Palestinians see this as the start of over a century of dispossession.

Furthermore, many of the thousands participating in over 30 countries will help raise funds for Amos Trust’s emergency appeal for Gaza and the West Bank.

[Optional participant quote]
“I am taking part in Run The Wall because...” [Background reasons for participating or involvement with Israel/Palestine over the years].
