During the first lockdown of 2020, we thought it was more important than ever to continue talking about the issues our partners faced, particularly in light of the Covid-19 pandemic, through a series of free weekly webinars.
Now that Season 7 is complete, we wanted to remind you that Seasons 1-6 are still available to watch and listen to again.

For our ninth webinar of the season we provided an update from those who took part in our Run The Wall fundraiser. We were joined by George Zeidan and Diala Isid from Right To Movement, who talked about the inspiration behind the Palestine Marathon and how it has become a focal point for solidarity with the Palestinian people. Elias D’eis from Holy Land Trust also joined us to discuss our Home Rebuild plans for 2022 and to update us on the 2021 rebuild.
For webinar ten we were joined by our good friends Jeff Halper and Linda Ramsden from the Israeli Committee Against Home Demolitions (ICAHD). We discussed with them why Israel pursues the policy of home demolition both within the Occupied Palestinian Territory and the state of Israel, its devastating impacts and the actions they are involved in to challenge this practice.
For the penultimate webinar of the season, and to mark the 50th anniversary of Bloody Sunday, we were joined by curator Adrienne Chaplin and Tom Kelly, one of the Bogside Artists. In the webinar, Tom spoke about his own experience growing up in the Bogside during the conflict, how he got to make the murals and what they mean for the community today.
For our last webinar in the current season, we discussed the increased pressure to silence those who advocate for Palestinian rights, whether inside Palestine, in the UK, or across Europe. We were joined by those seeking to ensure that this pressure will not be successful, including Wesam Ahmad from Al Haq, Giovanni Fassina, Programme Director from The European Legal Support Centre, and Kat Khoury from PalArt Collective.
Although we could not be together in person for our Christmas event in 2020, we came together online for our Bethlehem ‘Big Give’ Christmas Event to stand in solidarity with the children and young people of Palestine this holiday season. With Christmas messages from our partners in Palestine and the premiere of two new films from Gaza, we also heard poetry from Harry Baker, Zena Kazeme and Justin Butcher, music from Martyn Joseph, Garth Hewitt and Beth Rowley and thought-provoking contributions from our friends around the world.
Most young people in Gaza live with permanent traumatic stress — the innocent victims of three wars, unable to leave the massively overcrowded confines of Gaza, and with so little hope for the future. In June 2020, we heard the latest news on the threat of Coronavirus and how Amos partners NECC journey with these young people as they find a way to live in Gaza today.
We work alongside grass-roots partners in Palestine, South Africa, Nicaragua, Burundi, India and Tanzania.
Reaching children on the streets, addressing their trauma, working with them and their families to reintegrate them into their homes, to realise their rights and recover their future.
Working with local and international peace activists, and partnering with grass-roots projects, to call for a just peace, reconciliation and full equal rights for all Palestinians and Israelis.
Addressing the impact of climate change and the causes of extreme poverty, building sustainable rural communities and empowering them to realise their rights.
Bringing people together to meet our partners from around the world, visiting the communities they work in and seeing their projects in action — building solidarity and lasting friendships.
