The Department of Service to Palestinian Refugees (DSPR) offers humatarian, psychosocial support and vocational training to the young people of Gaza — the innocent victims of four wars since 2009 — giving them hope for the future.

Specialist mentoring and psychological support is given to all students, which are essential to help them complete and succeed in their training courses and develop as individuals and cope with the isolation of everyday life in Gaza.
They currently supervise four training centres – promoting gender equality — including courses in technical/vocational trades (building, carpentry, welding, and other hands-on practical trades), advanced dressmaking, secretarial studies, office management, and English language study. Interest-free educational loans are also made available for those students wishing to complete their studies in Palestinian universities.

When words fail, art speaks. Amos Trust presented the ‘On Location’ exhibition at Greenbelt Festival in the UK and a sister exhibition, ‘Colours Of Gaza’, at The Walled Off Hotel in Bethlehem in August/September 2022. This short film tells the story.

Colours of Gaza is part of On Location, Amos Trust's new project which will promote, support and celebrate the power, resilience, professionalism and vibrancy of the artistic community living and working under siege in Gaza today.
Tent of Nations is a farm run by Daoud Nasser and the Nasser family south of Bethlehem. The family are due to hear the outcome of a long-running court case to ratify the ownership of their land. Amos has taken many people to visit the farm — to hear about their inspirational approach, the huge challenges they face, and their ‘refusal to be enemies’.
Following two previous virtual tours of Gaza, we were delighted that Enas Ghannam (pictured) and the We Are Not Numbers team were able to join us once more to give us a unique snapshot into life in Gaza. This time, they filmed the preparations of a Gazan wedding and we found out how ‘Summaqya’, the essential food found at all Gazan pre-wedding celebrations, is made.
The 2024 Palestine Marathon will take place in March, and we are looking for full and half marathon runners to join Team Amos to run in the shadow of the Wall in Bethlehem. We welcome runners of all ages, men and women, with a range of experience. If it’s your first time, why not run the half marathon? Join 10,000 other runners to celebrate the right to movement in a city hemmed in by the Separation Wall and Israel’s illegal settlement-building programme.
