Donate to our Big Hope Fund
This year marks 40 years of Amos Trust. That’s four decades of walking alongside communities where hope seems exhausted but choosing to ‘do hope’ anyway. To celebrate being in our 40s, we’re launching a year-long series of bold, beautiful and ‘deeply Amos’ projects — each rooted in justice, creativity and solidarity.
We have so much planned for our 40th year. Here are just a few of the things you can expect.
We will:
- rebuild a home in Teqoa, the hometown of the prophet Amos;
- provide clean water with indigenous communities in Nicaragua, led by a young woman from our Climate Fellowship;
- host a comic strip workshop for emerging artists in Bethlehem;
- support a drug rehab programme for young women on the streets of Durban, 30 years after the end of apartheid;
- tour the UK this Christmas with young Dabke dancers from Bethlehem; beautiful resistance in motion;
- resume breast cancer screening at Al Ahli Arab Baptist Hospital in Gaza City;
- platform the voices of young writers and poets in Gaza through our partner, We Are Not Numbers.
To stay in touch about these and our other projects, please sign up to receive our Words of Hope Enews.
You can support all these activities and help us to confidently look forward to the next 40 years by:
- Making a donation to our Big Hope Fund today
- Committing to support Amos Trust with a direct debit so we can do hope for decades to come
- Leaving Amos a gift in your will or requesting donations at your funeral — helping us do hope beyond your lifetime
- Celebrating with us: Whether it’s a birthday, anniversary or special occasion, ask for donations instead of gifts and inspire others to do hope too. Please contact [email protected] for support and resources.
Whether you’ve been with us for 40 years, 4 years, 4 months or are completely new to us — thank you. We hope you’ll keep walking this journey with us so that we can keep ‘doing hope’ — together. You can download our Big 4-0 anniversary brochure here.
