Steal All The Flowers Christmas Cards for 2024

“My artworks are visual stories to present the collective memory of Palestinians expelled from the villages and towns of Palestine.” Raed Issa

Every year, Amos Trust’s Christmas Appeal raises money for grassroots projects in Palestine. Please show your support by buying our new ‘Steal All The Flowers’ Christmas cards.

The image on the front is a painting called ‘My Window on Gaza’ by Gazan artist Raed Issa and used with his kind permission.

Raed writes,
“I believe that the act of creating art is itself an act of resistance, and the expression of beauty and creativity is a way of survival for me as an artist. Through my art, I represent my vision of resistance in relation to humanity and how this relates to the daily life of Palestinians. My artworks are visual stories to present the collective memory of Palestinians expelled from the villages and towns of Palestine.”

Sold as a pack of 10 A6 cards with envelopes, the text on the front reads: Steal All The Flowers. Printed inside left is Khaled Juma’s poem, ‘Oh Rascal Children of Gaza’.

Oh rascal children of Gaza
You who constantly disturbed me
with your screams under my window.
You who filled every morning
with rush and chaos.
You who broke my vase
and stole the lonely flower on my balcony.
Come back,
and scream as you want
and break all the vases.
Steal all the flowers.
Come back...
Just come back.
Khaled Juma

Proceeds from each pack sold go towards Amos Trust’s Christmas appeal for our work in Gaza.
