Mohamed Abusal On Location
“Mohamed Abusal’s artistic projects are ‘daring, critical and scathing comments on what is deemed permissible in terms of technology and civilisation in Gaza today.”
Aida refugee camp lives in the shadow of the Israeli separation wall. The camp is over crowded, with no space for children to play. Young people vent their frustration by throwing stones at Israeli watchtowers and into the neighbouring army camp.
Israeli soldiers respond with tear gas and sound bombs, arresting children and firing rubber bullets and live ammunition.
“Young people in Aida Camp believe it is normal to throw stones, to inhale tear gas, to hide from soldiers but this is not normal. We have to let them see what normal life is and to know what they should aspire to.” Abdelfattah Abusrour, Director of Alrowwad Centre for Culture & Arts.
Amos partner, Alrowwad teaches ‘beautiful resistance’ inspiring young people to channel their activism into creative non-violence using music, dance, drama, film and photography.
Our range of resource and fundraising packs, blog posts, downloads and products have been produced to help you find out more about Amos Palestine Justice.

Rebuilding demolished homes in the West Bank is a powerful challenge to injustice and a profound act of solidarity. Each block we carry, each bucket of cement we mix, are much more than just materials — they are made of stuff that really matters. Please support our home rebuilding programme.
In Summer 2020, Amos Trust will relive our Just Walk to Jerusalem. We want as many people as possible to join us, so that together, we walk the 3,000 miles it takes to reach Jerusalem. In 2017 we walked from London to Jerusalem to apologise to the Palestinian people for Britain’s Balfour Declaration. In 2020 we are walking again to say “No!” to Israel’s annexation of up to 1/3 of the West Bank and to raise the money needed to keep calling for justice for Palestinians. Step Out, Step Up and Stop Annexation.

Discovering you have breast cancer is devastating but if you live in the Gaza Strip, it is three times more likely to be terminal. In an economy on its knees, edging out of another conflict, this is impossible for many people. The best hope is early detection. October is breast cancer awareness month and we’re asking the woman of the UK to stand in solidarity with our sisters in Gaza by hosting a local event to raise awareness and support amongst family, friends and neighbours throughout October, November and December.
