About Lucía

I am a Costa Rican woman, a chemical engineer, and a youth climate action activist. I have worked with organisations focused on youth political advocacy and have represented my country in international climate negotiation spaces.

Currently, as the Local Governance Coordinator for the Youth Climate Council of Costa Rica, I am dedicated to training and empowering young people to become agents of change in their communities.

I am passionate about sharing tools with them while learning from their realities and perspectives to create climate advocacy that reflects their voices and needs. In my free time, I enjoy crafting and sewing my own clothes, exploring sustainability from a personal to a collective level.
