We were honored to welcome Walaa Sabbah and the young writers from Amos’ partner, We Are Not Numbers, for this special webinar. Through their powerful storytelling, these writers have not only shared their own experiences but also created a vital record of the unfolding tragedy in Gaza. In this webinar, they read their work and reflected on the stories that need to be told.

We Are Not Numbers was founded to ensure that young people in Gaza are not reduced to statistics — to give them platforms to share their voices, tell their stories and be seen as the writers, thinkers and human beings they are. For over a decade, they have documented life under siege and genocide, refusing to let the world look away.

On 24th April 2025, Penguin Random House will publish We Are Not Numbers: The Voices of Gaza’s Youth — the first collection of their writing, bringing together a decade of voices and perspectives from Gaza’s young writers.
