In 1917, the British Government declared that they would defend Palestinian rights. History tells us this wasn’t worth the paper it was written on. 100 years later, it’s time to change the record.
His Majesty's government view with favour the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people, and will use their best endeavours to facilitate the achievement of this object, it being clearly understood that nothing shall be done which may prejudice the civil and religious rights of existing non-Jewish communities in Palestine, or the rights and political status enjoyed by Jews in any other country.

Just Walk to Jerusalem is a bold initiative to mark the centenary of the Balfour Declaration and 50 years of military occupation of the Palestinian Territories. We're planning a series of events around the UK culminating in a 100-day walk from London to Jerusalem as an act of penance and to demand full equal rights for everyone who calls Israel/Palestine home.
The walk will join with others across Europe and locate the Palestine issue in wider calls for peace, justice, and refugee rights. We work alongside grass-roots partners in the West Bank and Gaza in Palestine, South Africa, Nicaragua, Burundi, India and Tanzania.
